D\u0103ruie\u0219te Aripi<\/span> Association was involved in the legislative process of adoption and implementation of the National Plan to Prevent and Combat Cancer in Romania, Pediatric Cancers section.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All the proposals advanced by the association, together with the specialists of the <\/span>Romanian Society of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology<\/span><\/a>, were submitted to the Ministry of Health, and can be found in the law voted by the Romanian Parliament. These proposals fully comply with the strategic directions of the <\/span>Plan of the European Society for Pediatric Oncology (SIOP Europe),<\/span><\/a> 2021-2026.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

D\u0103ruie\u0219te Aripi Association supports the 5 key objectives in the National Plan to Prevent and Combat Cancer, to increase the survival rate and quality of life for children with oncological conditions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These objectives are:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Connecting Romanian pediatric onco-hematology to the major European healthcare and research platforms<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Expansion of genetic testing in pediatric cancers<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Radiotherapy of pediatric cancers<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Continuous and adequate access to pediatric oncology medication provided by current therapeutic protocols<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. The development of integrated multidisciplinary pediatric onco-hematology services for all stages of the clinical course, through innovative applications of information technology<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Objective no. 5 fully reflects the innovative initiatives that D\u0103ruie\u0219te Aripi Association runs in support of children with cancer, such as home care program, and the development of a digital solution for multidisciplinary integrated care.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    The proposal submitted by D\u0103ruie\u0219te Aripi reflects the practical experience that the association has gained during its 15 years of activity.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    The document sent jointly by D\u0103ruie\u0219te Aripi Association and the Romanian Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Society to the Ministry of Health can be consulted <\/span>here<\/span><\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    The plans of D\u0103ruie\u0219te Aripi Association for the next five years include the creation of a national network of shared care services so that all children with cancer in Romania, no matter where they are, benefit from the same level of medical care. The digitization of pediatric oncology care and the contribution in pediatric oncology at European level are two other short- and medium-term priorities.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
