We stand with the families from Ukraine, who have children with cancer and need medical care and support here, in Romania.<\/p>\n<p>The Daruieste Aripi Association is the <strong>National Contact Point<\/strong> of <strong>Childhood Cancer International<\/strong> and represents Romania in the endeavors through which non governmental organizations in Europe contribute to saving Ukrainian children with cancer.<\/p>\n<p>We are coordinating our efforts with the Romanian authorities and the Romanian Society of Pediatric Onco-Hematology to implement a national service of reception and distribution towards specialized centers, for children with cancer from Ukraine.\u00a0 This service will function as a &#8220;call-center&#8221; that is able to take up requests from within our country but also those requests that arrive through the mechanisms of european cooperation. We are coordinating the distribution of cases towards pediatric onco-hematology wards, in accordance with their pathology, the services needed and available beds.<\/p>\n<p>At present, we are working with 6 centers of pediatric onco-hematology that have a significant turnover (Bucure\u0219ti, Cluj, Timi\u0219oara and Ia\u0219i) with an estimated total of 60 beds. The Call Center Service organizes and updates all national available spaces, in real time.<\/p>\n<p>All requests are answered and processed by attending physicians and pediatric onco hematology resident physicians, with the help of a digital app developed by <a href=\"https:\/\/code4.ro\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Code for Romania<\/a> for this initiative. Cases are distributed in different centers in the country, through this platform.
