The autumn of 2021 was a turning point in my life. I had been working in the banking system for over 20 years and felt a sense of fulfillment both professionally and personally. But something was missing; I felt the desire to get more involved in community life.

That’s when I met Alina, and I was instantly inspired by the energy and passion with which she spoke and acted. Shortly after, I was impressed by how the team involved in the association innovates and contributes to the structural change of medical services for children with cancer. By the fact that they started on a difficult path and do not deviate from it despite the hardships. By the results obtained and the recognition received, both nationally and internationally. By the fact that they are a true model for our society.

And so, I became a volunteer.

And after two and a half years of volunteering, during which I promoted the association’s projects, raised funds, and helped with various events, in June 2024, I decided to fully dedicate myself to the association’s mission. With joy and gratitude, I am part of a wonderful team and can support children with cancer, so vulnerable in the face of the merciless disease, yet so strong in their fight for life.
