Children’s Emergency Hospital “Sf. Maria” in Iași provides pediatric medical care for the city and county of Iași, and for other 7 counties in Moldova region. The onco-hematologic ward has 45 beds for children with cancer from the region.
With the support of our partner ERG, we purchased state-of-the-art equipment for this medical unit to enable sick children to benefit from modern treatments and personalized care.
The equipment includes a high-performance ultrasound necessary to monitor the adverse effects of chemotherapy, especially cardiac ones. It is the first time that the department has had such an ultrasound machine. In addition, the hospital received morphine pumps, injectomats, infusomata, and a wide range of consumables specific to modern, pain-free oncological treatments for these young patients.
At the same time, the medical staff received laptops and multifunction equipment, and the areas dedicated to visiting parents received new utilities.
The modernization of the pediatric onco-hematological ward at the hospital in Iasi is part of our expansion strategy at national level, following our original projects developed in Bucharest and Constanța.
Our focus is on innovation in medical services for children with cancer in Romania.
With this project, we are starting a long-term partnership with the Children’s Emergency Hospital “St. Maria” in Iași, and we want to help as much as possible the children with cancer in Moldova and neighboring regions.
