Since 2017 I have come back year after year as a volunteer, with the same emotion and the same wish to do good, for the little ones fighting cancer and for their chance at life.

Because every child deserves a childhood, every family deserves hope, and every act of solidarity can mean so much.

From the very first day I took part in the association’s activities, I felt everyone’s warmth and friendship.

My experience as a volunteer began with a charity concert, where I was pleasantly impressed by how many people came to help and support these wonderful children, at a moment in their lives when they depend on our help, as a community.

I want to keep standing by them and to know that a small part of what we do can bring a smile to their faces!

In oncology I learned that sometimes the most important thing we can offer a person is not an answer, but our presence – that “I am here” that helps them not feel alone in the face of a diagnosis. As a clinical psychologist, psychotherapist and psycho-oncologist, I choose to carry this mission beyond the consulting room, whether through Dăruiește Aripi, through projects dedicated to oncology patients, or through my professional voice at specialist conferences.

I come back to Dăruiește Aripi because here I meet the same conviction that defines my profession: beyond the diagnosis there is always a person, a family and a story that need to be seen, heard and accompanied. For me, volunteering does not only mean giving from what I know, but also receiving, every time, a lesson about courage, vulnerability and hope.
