FOR PARENTS
Rights and procedures, explained in plain language
When your child is ill, paperwork is the last thing you want to fight. We have gathered here the procedures you need: which documents to prepare, where to submit them and how long it takes to get an answer.
TREATMENT ABROAD

If the treatment your child needs is not available in Romania’s public system, the state can cover it in two ways: through the National Health Insurance House or through the Ministry of Health.
Form S2 (formerly E112)
Planned treatment in a European Union country, Switzerland, the United Kingdom or Northern Ireland, paid for directly by the National Health Insurance House. Who is eligible, which documents to submit and how long it takes to get an answer.
Order 1011 (formerly 50)
For procedures that are not performed in Romania’s public hospitals. It is issued by the Ministry of Health and can be used anywhere in the world.
