Daruieste Aripi annually invest in modernization of the Pediatric Surgery and Orthopedics Department of the Clinical County Hospital Constanta. This ward is the only one of its kind to cater to all the pediatric surgery and orthopedics cases in the South Eastern area of Romania. This is also the only medical center specialized in detecting developmental dislocation (dysplasia) of the hip (DDH).
Every year, over 400 children need surgical interventions that can only be performed here, due to the complexity of the cases and the existence of a multidisciplinary pediatric team, including pediatric surgery, neonatology, pediatric gastroenterology and oncology.
We are constantly supporting this ward by acquiring specific medical equipment, performing medical instrumentation for the operating theater, following the requirements of specialist doctors. We support the medical staff to be able to improve their professional formation with specialized trainings in the country and we renovate and equip the spaces from within the department.
Modernization of the pediatric surgery unit aims to improve the quality of the medical act, to reduce the stress of children under treatment and their parents, and also that of the medical staff involved, having a direct impact upon the quality of medical treatments applied.
